CEBIT 2014, GERMANY

CeBIT is the world’s largest and most international IT expo, organized by Deutsche Messe AG. The trade fair is held each year at the Hannover fairground, the world’s largest fairground, in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany, and is considered a barometer of the state of the art in information technology. CeBIT 2014 received positive reviews from exhibitors, the IT sector and the tradeshow’s own organizers. This year’s CeBIT further sharpened its profile as the world’s leading IT event for decision-makers. The keynote themes season were Datability and Security. This year’s show led to total capital expenditures totaling some EUR 25 billion – an all-time high. As this year’s official Partner Country, Great Britain showcased its stunning IT achievements and outstandingly innovative spirit. CeBIT 2014 is said to be particularly high profile, with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel and UK Prime Minister, David Cameron opening proceedings and the UK taking centre stage.
